# RAISE Act

New York's Responsible AI Safety and Education Act, a frontier-AI safety law binding large frontier developers to publish a safety framework and every frontier developer to report critical safety incidents; signed 19 December 2025 and taking effect 1 January 2027 after a March 2026 chapter amendment that placed oversight in an office within the Department of Financial Services (DFS) [1][2].
